Gözde Böcü is a PhD student in the University of Toronto’s Department of Political Science, specializing in comparative politics and international relations. Her research interests include democracy, transnationalism, and constitutional politics. Awarded by the German National Merit Foundation and the German Exchange Foundation, Gözde has studied at the Humboldt-Universität, the Middle East Technical University and at the University of Toronto. Gözde holds a BA and MA in Social Sciences from Humboldt-Universität. Recently, she was a visiting research fellow at the Alexander von Humboldt Chair of Comparative Constitutionalism (Prof. Ran Hirschl) at the University of Göttingen.
